Stephen Colbert in a Musical!

The above photo is Neil Patrick Harris and Stephen Colbert...with Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) in the photo next to them. They were just three stars who performed in the limited run of the musical "Company" on Broadway. It wasn't a full-scale show, and only ran for about three days I believe, but how amazing would it have been to see this? I happen to love some of the actors from Harris to Colbert and even Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men)!!

Well, guess what? I was reading my latest issue of Entertainment Weekly (which is where I first heard they even DID this) and they said that starting in June, the performance will be in theaters for a limited run as they went and recorded some of the night's shows. I'm super excited. I just hope that it comes out near me. Sometimes these things aren't as you have to live in big cities like New York, LA, or even Atlanta. I don't live in any of these places...but that's not keeping me from hope.

The Talking Dog Just Wants Bacon!

I know it's a bit pathetic of me, but honestly, I feel bad for this dog!! I know, I know...he's not really talking and I'm sure he got fed lots of treats for being such a good sport for Youtube viewers. Except, along with my laughter, I can't help letting out an "awww" when I watch this.

I may be a sap, but the dog is just too adorable.

The Daily Show is a Book Reviewer

Though I'm a big fan of Jon Stewart and The Daily Show, I don't usually find the books he talks about all that interesting. It's probably because, despite my enjoyment of the show, I'm not really a political person. I don't watch the regular news on a daily basis nor do I debate the pros and cons of various issues all the time.

However, this past week there have been two guests on the show promoting their new literary endeavours and I have to say...I want to read both of these.

The main one would be The Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson which goes into the tell-tale signs, as well as people in our world today that are actual psychopaths. It's kind of freaky, yes, but I always found these things fascinating. Psychology in general is very intriguing to me. I mean, what makes people go off and kill someone as opposed to just finding pleasure in their morning cup of coffee?

Can you really imagine what it would be like to suddenly realize one day that a friend, family member, or even your boss might be a psychopath? That certainly goes way beyond the idea that "everyone is a little bit crazy."

The second book that caught my interest via The Daily Show is Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base by Annie Jacobsen.

I know what you're thinking. She just said she isn't really a political person and now she wants to read a book all about Area 51? This girl is crazy! (but definitely not psychopathic...definitely not).

Seriously though, it just sounded really interesting from the interview. She couldn't give away too much about the book...but it goes way beyond aliens visiting us in Roswell...and certainly a bit freakier. Yeah, freakier than aliens. This shit is crazy.

Do It for Johnny!

Let's just say I'm not a huge fan of Dancing with the Stars. No, it's the not the usual "but there are like NO stars on this show!!" Well, of course not. Do you really expect Johnny Depp or someone equally as big to drop million-dollar movies for a dancing show? They have way more important things to do. That's not to say that the show is all that bad. I do like watching people dance. I just wish they had less "non-professional, but still dancing stars" on the show. I mean, it's not really FAIR. I'd rather everyone be more equal starting out and have the show be a progression of their talent.

Like Ralph Macchio. He just got kicked off the show tonight, and while I saw it coming, I'm really bummed. I love Ralph. He's passionate, loving, and he really tries his hardest out there. I mean, come on! Last night he gave viewers booty shaking! Booty shaking people! Sigh. I guess we really aren't "doing it for Johnny", huh? Poor guy. He's my winner regardless. Now I'm just not sure I care as much. I'm always gonna be an Outsiders junkie.

How cute is that picture? Don't you want an adorably happy Ralph with that mirror ball trophy?

I'm just sayin.

I do not own any of these pictures. I am simply using them to express my thoughts.
